A Guide to Your Giving

• Zakat (Zakat al-Mal): Zakat is a pillar of Islam, purifying wealth by fulfilling the right of the eight Quranic recipients, including the poor and needy. Use our Zakat Calculator for accuracy. We distribute 100% of your Zakat to qualifying orphans, widows, and refugees, providing food, shelter, and a path to self-sufficiency through Sharia-compliant programs.
• Sadaqah: Sadaqah is voluntary mercy with no minimum, given to anyone in need. It erases sins and can become ongoing reward (Sadaqah Jariyah). Your Sadaqah delivers immediate relief: a meal for a starving family, a winter blanket, or a water well for generations.
• Fidyah compensates for missed fasts in Ramadan due to permanent excuses by feeding a poor person per day of missed fast.
• Kaffarah expiates deliberate broken fasts or broken oaths by feeding a set number of poor people. We convert your donation into nutritious food packages for impoverished families.
• Udhiyah (Qurbani): Commemorate the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) during Eid al-Adha. MWL manages the entire Qurbani process—selecting, sacrificing, and distributing fresh meat to the neediest families, orphans, and refugees, allowing them to share in Eid’s joy and nourishment.
• Aqiqah: The Aqiqah is a Sunnah sacrifice to welcome a newborn. We perform your Aqiqah according to the Sunnah and distribute the meat to poor families, ensuring your child’s arrival brings sustenance and smiles to those in need.
